ABOUT THE ARTIST

Aly Miller is a Milwaukee-based illustrator who specializes in food illustration, cookbook illustration, and soulfully-created maps. Aly is inspired by plants and nature, gardens, and the food that we farm and forage.

CREATIVE PROCESS

I gather inspiration at the farmer's market and at my kitchen table, and I draw what I see and find. I start with pen and ink and watercolor washes or pencil marks, and then I scan my work and add color digitally. I love layering and collaging in the final stages of my process.
