ABOUT THE ARTIST

Christine Courchaine is the artist and owner behind East Twin Arts, a self-taught mixed media artist based in Northeast Wisconsin. Her current body of work blends expressive charcoal drawing with layered acrylic paint, bold marker details, and luminous gold leaf pens, all brought together with striking black charcoal accents. Many of her recent pieces are created on upcycled cabinet doors and other repurposed surfaces, giving discarded materials new life through art.

In addition to her 2D work, Christine creates a distinctive ornament collection. Her ornaments are available year-round in select gift shops and online.

Christine’s work has been exhibited at the Art Garage, Neville Public Museum, Whitewater Arts Alliance, and the Miller Art Museum, and she currently holds a permanent collection of over 90 pieces at the EPIC campus in Verona, Wisconsin. She is an active member of several Wisconsin arts organizations, including the Wisconsin Visual Artists, Lakeshore Artists Guild, Sheboygan Visual Artists, Wisconsin Craft (WiCraft), and the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople (WAAC).
