Hi! I'm Claire and I've been making lively animal drawings since I was a young girl growing up in Madison. One of my earliest protagonists and obsessions, Platti the Platypus, was based on the mini Beanie Baby I treasured from a McDonald's Happy Meal! :) Almost 30 years later, my inclination to depict animal characters with charming quirks and real spirit hasn't changed a bit. Sparking children's wonder with these characters is my loftiest goal and greatest achievement. I find inspiration tutoring young readers, fostering dogs and coloring with my nephew.
