ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jeanie Tomasko is a poet and an artist living in Middleton, WI. She is inspired by nature, imagination and her dog among other things. She loves to try different art forms but her favorites are drawing and watercolor. Her collage cards are each one-of-a-kind and allow her to play with color, shape, drawing, watercolor, dictionary words, buttons, yarn, string, sewing and beyond. In each card is a small separate doo-dad, like a surprise in a box of Cracker Jacks.

CREATIVE PROCESS

I like using found materials for my cards and when I start out, I really don't have a plan. It's much the same with writing and painting, a see-what-happens approach. The imagination is an endless place and incredibly fascinating.
