Jennifer Peters

Welcome to a world of expressionist photography. Jennifer considers herself an expressionist photographer who shares her soul through art. She depicts representations of nature in a subjective, expressive manner. She strives to engage the viewer to interpret her images in a very personal and emotional way. This is a journey that she loves and respects. She is committed to creating an emotional landscape by implementing a soft focus style which invites the observer to ponder the deeper meanings behind her images.

“I become my camera and the images reflect my view and deep love of nature. I explore the intricate nuances of natural forms by allowing the camera’s lens to awaken our tastes for wanting to see the inner beauty. I capture these delicate fragments in nature as abstract forms of art. I believe that within a dewdrop the oceans reside. I try to bring nature’s essence for others to see and experience. I can see things that the naked eye cannot. I can capture in that instance a color or light source that will be gone in the next blink of an eye.”

Jennifer retired from teaching French and World Cultures in the MMSD in 2010. She now devotes herself to creating meaningful art.
