Judy Fleming Coss

I am a visual artist based in Madison, Wisconsin. I have enjoyed drawing and painting since I was a small child and was fortunate to have studied under portraitist Carol Cameron and Mohammed Drisi in my youth. I was awarded the Fred Conway Memorial full scholarship to study fine art at Washington University in St. Louis where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

As a contemporary American realist painter, my work embodies a deep reverence for the understated beauty found in everyday life. Through my portraits, figures, still life, and landscapes, I strive to explore the intricate interplay between light and form, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the moments that shape our human experience.
