ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kathleen D’Angelo lives among the rolling hills and farmland of southwestern Wisconsin’s Driftless Area, a landscape that has shaped her artistic journey. Nature is her primary inspiration, from the ecosystems of water and rock formations to the beauty of gardens and agricultural scenes. She also draws inspiration from her travels throughout the state and to national and state parks, where extraordinary natural beauty fuels her creativity.

CREATIVE PROCESS

Kathleen creates her artwork using watercolor, acrylic, and pen, experimenting with techniques that reflect the ever-changing natural world. She seeks out new subjects year-round, from waterways and rock formations to floral and vegetable gardens, farmland, and preserved landscapes. Her work balances observation with exploration, blending traditional mediums with a willingness to try new ideas in order to capture the magnificence and diversity of nature.
