Maria Segura

I'm a Latina Artist, Portrait Model, Writer and News Reporter for wortfm.org.

I have recently published a hardcover children's book titled, "Jake and Emily."

With the assistance of a Dane Arts Grant, I was able to bring this project to fruition.

"Jake and Emily" is an almost fairytale story and a book for ALL. Two birds travel far from one destination to another in search of happiness, but it's not without struggles.

We are former residents of Harrogate, UK and resided in the UK over three years ago until my youngest son fell ill. We returned to America for treatment.

We are happy to call Madison, Wisconsin our home.

It is with great pleasure to also announce that The British Library, Boston Spa, Wetherby, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom has added "Jake and Emily" to their collection. What an honor!
