ABOUT THE ARTIST

A Madison native and father of three, Benjamin draws from a rich background as a painter, carpenter, sculptor, and home inspector to create his work. His art is deeply rooted in the interconnectedness of nature, people, and the rhythmic patterns found in daily life. Whether working with canvas or wood, his pieces reflect a lifetime of hands-on experience and a keen eye for detail. When not in the studio, he is likely spending time with his family and his fellow animal lovers.

CREATIVE PROCESS

My process has changed throughout my years as an artist and always reflects my current situation. If I can spend an entire day in my studio I will, but my kids and my animals are also a big part of my daily life. Ever advancing technology and my willingness to learn new things has brought my creative time out of the studio and you will now find me working on my art while I'm at Frankie's parkor class, at Jack's gymnastics practice, at Oscar's band practice, or just out on my front porch with my dog Buster and my tortoise Bortus.
