ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a visionary artist working primarily in oil pastel, creating immersive pieces that explore transformation, emotional memory, and the hidden structures that shape our inner worlds. My work often weaves botanical forms with psychological landscapes, embedding subtle imagery within fields of color so that each painting reveals itself slowly over time. I am drawn to the idea that art can express what language sometimes cannot — the quiet truths we feel but struggle to articulate.

Before fully committing to my artistic path, I was trained in the sciences, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and entomology and a master’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I spent nearly a decade working in highly regulated quality environments, an experience that shaped my deep respect for precision, documentation, and longevity.

Today, that same discipline informs my studio practice as I carefully archive my work, build structured provenance systems, and create with a long view toward preservation.
My paintings are known for their layered color relationships, movement, and compositional architecture. I often hide forms within the work — a face emerging from water, a figure concealed in petals, an instrument nested inside a landscape — inviting viewers to pause, look closer, and form their own personal connection. For me, a painting is not meant to be consumed instantly; it is meant to be discovered.

I create prolifically because I see my body of work as an evolving visual ecosystem — what I think of as a lifelong “Garden of Color.” Each piece reflects a moment of becoming, documenting both personal transformation and the broader human experience. Whether through large-format originals, archival prints, textile installations, or symbolic series, my intention is to build a collection of work that feels alive, interconnected, and enduring.

In 2025, my work received international recognition at the Plantarium Exhibition, where it ranked among the top exhibited pieces. Additionally, I have expanded my experience by participlating in the New York Exhibition “With Love” and returning to briefly study with Allyson Grey in a cohort of approximately fifteen individuals. Experiences like this have strengthened my commitment to the path I am on — one rooted not only in creative expression, but in building something lasting.

I continue to live and work in the United States, guided by a simple belief: make the work with sincerity, protect it with care, and trust that the right eyes will find it. Ultimately, my goal is for my work to allow people to feel understood in the same way I feel when coming across certain paintings in a gallery.
