Lost Feather Studio

My hope is to create art that nurtures our collective heartache. Using bright watercolors, joyful moments, and sometimes poetry, I try to capture the awe and wonder we experience in nature and bring the viewer a sense of peace, balance and joy.

As a former science teacher, I bring with me a understanding of the ecological relationships in nature and value accuracy in my depictions of it, but also trust the deeper spiritual connection we all sense within nature and meld this into my art and poetry as well. Many of my paintings have an original poem that accompany them and the question I can’t answer is, which comes first, the poem or the painting?
I look forward to sharing my art with you. Just as sunlight feeds an Oak Tree, the Oak Tree feeds my soul. I hope my art shares these moments of inspiration and feeds yours too.
