I create pieces that honors the tree and gives it a second life. In nature a tree may live 100 years, my intent is to give it the second hundred years in an enjoyable or useable form that also shows its beauty. Many times, I can leave a unique feature that was created in nature. Not every thing is perfect in nature or handmade items, they are how ever unique.

If I know where the tree grew, I add the general latitude and longitude to the piece as part of its story.

Most of my material is reclaimed or reused as it should be. I have been known to track down the sound of a chain saw to preserve part of a local tree.
